A hybrid live/virtual performance project centered around a young woman named Elza who aspires to notoriety in the developing virtual realm created by the ominous tech company Umericorn.
The Live Ones explores the tension between lives lived online and their reflections in physical reality, as well as the ethics of sacrificing parts of ourselves to participate in new and enticing technology. When we come together for a live performance, what do we bring with us from the digital world, and where is the line that separates these two realities?
