The Motor Company’s full-length plays belong to New York as much as the streets, parks, and stations where they take place. We move beyond traditional theaters and into the spaces people already share every day, treating the city itself as our stage. A performance might unfold in a neighborhood park, on a subway platform, or along a city block, blending into the rhythm of its surroundings while maintaining the scale and depth of a long-form play, keeping the work grounded in the life of the city and open to anyone who happens to be there.
