A FREE weekly workshop for women at the South Asian Community Center that explores the stories we grew up with in our home countries.
We’ll then use theater to create & share a new story that is a reflection of our community now.
Meet the Team

Carol Mazhuvancheril is a NYC-based actor, theater-maker and educator, working on both stage and film. In New York, Carol was last seen on stage Off-Broadway in JC Lee’s To My Girls, directed by Stephen Brackett, and in the multiple Tony-winning Broadway production of Matthew Lopez’s The Inheritance, directed by Stephen Daldry. Some of his other theater credits include Madhuri Shekar’s A Nice Indian Boy, directed by Zi Ali Khan for Olney Theater Centre; and Kate Hamil’s Pride and Prejudice, directed by Estefenía Fadul for Virginia Theater Festival. Some of Carol's on-screen credits include The Diplomat (Netflix), The Time Traveler’s Wife (HBO), FBI: Most Wanted (CBS), Russian Doll (Netflix), and a lead in Gabriel Vega Weissman’s upcoming short Clay Pigeons. Carol holds an MFA in acting from Brooklyn college, was a part of LAByrinth Theater Company’s 2019 Intensive Ensemble, and a member of both AEA and SAG. www.carolmaz.com @carolmazzz

Lillian Meredith is a director, arts educator, and the Artistic Director of The Motor Company. She has directed, devised, or assisted on shows at Rattlestick Theatre, Theatre for a New Audience, Soho Rep, and Clubbed Thumb, among many others. Proud alumna: Vassar College (BA), Brooklyn College (MFA).
